Evaluation Question 4

imac
The iMac was the base of my project, everything in my research and planning was constructed using safari on the mac to perform search queries and save pictures. In terms of planning I was able to construct my Animatic using iMovie, also I was able to upload YouTube videos (pitch). The imac was its fast processor and high definition screen made my project a lot easier, without it I do not think my finished video would be to the quality that it is, this also goes for my final digipak and advert as they too show visible signs of usage from some of the iMacs internal features
Blogger
Blogger was almost like my Notepad/Diary I was able to show a detailed step by step process which shows exactly how I have created my project from research and planning to post the finished video. Blogger is useful as it helps keep your work organised with labels and presents it professionally in a good standard of quality. Without blogger I think I would have found it harder to keep on track with my project and I would have not have had as much information as I received from other teachers (Via their blog)
Twitter
Twitter enabled me to successfully construct a twitter account and post tweets to increase the legitimacy of my artist to a level in which was acceptable for my project, with twitter I was also able to ask people’s opinions and ask my partner about any ideas or faults he was facing, it was a good communication tool as we could share pictures and have open discussions, although phone calling was more appropriate, we liked to use twitter because of the facilities in which you can present media.
Facebook
Facebook was useful in both the research and planning stage as well as the evaluation stages, this is because we were able to look at celebrity’s such as Drakes Facebook page for inspiration (album covers. New music videos etc.) and we were also able to take advantage of the sharing feature in which we shared two drafts of our video and awaited feedback which essentially helped us to construct our video (To a good standard) and to find our real people’s opinions.
Handy cam
The Sony handy cam was also a key piece of technology that was used during my project, being small and light we were able to captures hard and angles which made our video look more professional, however at the same time I personally think this camcorder lacked in quality as it was not meant for as much lighting as we exposed it to. Overall it helped us greatly produce the video we have today and has served us well, if I could go back I would however opt for a professional camcorder that could capture night shots clearer.
Photoshop
Photoshop was used predominantly during my Advert and Digipak stage, it was helpful as I already had a developed skill set from my AS coursework, this means I was able to use the software with no problems, and I could access features which made my Advert and digipak look professional and visually pleasing. Photoshop also allowed me to manipulate my designs to my own specification.
Final Cut Pro
Final Cut pro was use to edit or filmed clips into the video we have today. Final Cut pro comes pre-loaded with numerous features which we attempted to take advantage  of in the end with some training, however overall I think that Photoshop was an essential tool in our operation and I also believe that it has gave our video a professional look.
